Teaching Kids to Cover Their Mouths

I think someone has been sick in our house since December.  Not sure if it's the same cold that keeps getting tossed back and forth between the 4 kids or new ones being brought in. It's only natural then, that we've been studying health and germs.  This project was an attempt to teach the kids to cover their mouth/ nose when they sneeze. They had fun and the best part is it actually made a difference -- they are covering their mouths more!  Victory!

We started by making a mural with eyes, a nose, and a mouth.

The girls wanted some hair so we added some yarn.  Then we traced the girls' hands and arms and cut them out out.  Final step was some double sided scotch tape on the hand so that we could have some fun making the creation sneeze, cough and cover.
