Our advent activity tonight was gingerbread houses. Since this is an activity we did in my classroom, I had the materials ready to go. We pasted graham crackers to a single serving size milk carton and practiced counting while the frosting (simply a tiny bit of water mixed into powdered sugar) dried.
Then, I presented the candy. Their eyes popped! They couldn't believe I was giving them candy before dinner. They decorated their houses a little, but the call of their stomach (or sweet tooth) was just too much. After putting a few decorations on, they claimed they were done and wanted to eat it.
